2010: Bicentennial Year

The year 2009 were discussed and speculated endless projections, desires, ideas, campaign promises, etc. For the year 2010, where Chile met 200 years since independence, as traditional and formal history we are taught at the flagship institutions, and otherwise all or most Chileans have in your mind and some more patriotic than others in their hearts.

But this has really been a year of celebration as we expected really, full of hope for change and promising a bright future for the country?

The year 2010 began with an event not scheduled on any agenda or any political itinerary because we were all surprised at any moment, so was the earthquake of 27 February, leaving aside thousands of deaths, thousands of homeless, exposed the mismanagement of our country's inefficient and bad control of how to build Chile. Were made in light of worldwide economic gaps that exist, the kind of culture we have when faced with a tragedy, as they were looting, the use of situations to benefit both people and the media, politics and society in general.

But not everything was good the earthquake only a few weeks ago we were again at the epicenter of global news, showing again our administrative weaknesses, our inefficient policy that hurts, hurts and always fun to most of Chile's poorest. But once again the use of this benefit is engaged in political campaigns and to shock people instead of raising awareness and creating a critique of what we live day to day, and to generate a real change in the management of our lives.

A Very Special Day

A very important event for me was when you switch to black belt 1st Dan on 26 August 2009, this was in the gym where I train left in the commune of La Florida.
Well this was too important for me because I trained kung fu for over 9 years, all the while waiting to be black belt someday, many coaches, tournaments, and more just to go to training, leave out many things like family, friends, boyfriends, and important social activities so I love to do.

The event lasted a full day I had to show everything about martial arts kung fu style I do, where they were my teachers, my teachers, students of the school, my family and friends. The ceremony was beautiful filled with many emotions first I was very afraid of failing the exam and having to give it to next year and then was was dead tired after a long nerve was waiting for an answer and then tears of joy with the excitement of knowing that he had past. After that came the delivery belts, where everything was quiet, with lots of incense, mantras, candles, everything was pretty magical.

After that came the formal presentation to the school as teachers black belts, and good million hugs and tears and thousands of photographs, has been a memorable moment for me.

A m i, Child of The Stars

My favorite book of all time, for the first time I read when I was eight and from there I read about five times so far, this book is Enrique Barrios "Ami, Child of the Stars"

This book tells the story of a boy named Peter, the rock on a beach encounters an alien being, named Ami, who was the abbreviation of a friend. After his meeting totally magical, Ami begins to tell where it comes from, which makes the earth and is credited as the universe in general. Pedro is very impressed with all these stories, then Ami invites you to see in your spaceship around the universe that is out there, along with that other extraterrestrial beings, other cultures and gives a very important mission to save the planet Earth.

This story struck me as a child because I think there is a life beyond our planet, but also because the way they are told of these alien landscapes so beautiful they made me imagine. And finally I think the mission was to save the planet Peter was very significant, and made me believe that anything could be done if there was love, as Universal Law.

I have read many books and some very significant as "Veronica Decide Morir" by Paulo Coelho, "El Principito" and others but never thought a young girl falling in love with this book I have read many times
I recommend this book to children who are starting to read because this way others will want to read all the books that follow after "Ami, Child of the Stars" and thus encourages their imagination and the importance of love.

I Want To Breathe Fresh Air

I believe that people learn from children to contribute to these environmental practices, e starting with the family and then institutionally in school, it is this is a key site for teachers and those responsible for the education of children produce in them a love for nature and concern for preserving and easy ways that this can be done.

Personally recycling is not part of my routine, but at least if I ever worried about throwing the papers at the proper place.

love cycling and if the places I stay close but would not hesitate to occupy it because of how far you live from the university, the gym, my friends and family, I feel obliged to use car, although most Sometimes I use the bus.

The truth is that I have not linked to any environmental organization, and I think the biggest reason is my lack of time, but I'd love to join and help save the planet.

In our country in general the environment is a topic that little touch, but yet every day comes a little awareness is a key issue for the development of our country and the quality of life for its citizens. I think that today although there are some laws in favor of the environment, is still very little is done, particularly in Santiago it is one of the most polluted cities in Chile and that is something that we should be proud . For I believe that the implementation of new parks, and special care for which there is a good way to start, following a recycling system that reaches every home and community, as they do in many developed countries. In this way and with the right organization plus the desire to want a better world will help to have a better quality of life for ourselves and for those who come.

The Big Fish

My favorite movie is The Big Fish love this movie because since I saw as I was a very pleasant feeling and fantasy but also as love of family.

It's a film that for many is like very muddled and confusing, although many stories and tales mix and fantasies that do not know if they are a reality and the protagonist invents, is a very nice feeling to discover as the film unfolds.

The stories he tells the father to his son at first thinks q is all a lie but then to the same child is confused and thinks q is real, it tells the stories his father are very original, striking, wild and have a share of humor and charm that makes q fascinates me.

When I first saw it, was when the rent a center, they can not see in the movies, I saw it once and did not understand like I left with a taste for seeing it for the second time, until one night I saw four times, and from there I think have been about seven times I've seen.

It's a film I recommend 100%.

The Sleep

This is a story of that's the VOA Special English Health Report, written by Caty Weaver. For him, the interesting question of sleep or sleep we need to acquire to perform better in our daily activities, or extra-curricular activities we undertake.

This article talks about many studies done every year to see how important it is enough sleep, these studies focus much on the children it is a fact that few parents are given the job of their developing a routine to children to sleep in the early hours and wake up at an appropriate time. As various studies show that American universities about children who get adequate rest, sleep nine hours or more and have a set routine schedule of bedtime and wake schedules provided to them, yield much better in all learning activities.

The same happens with athletes is critical not have a sleep debt because their performance is lower than it really can be.

CINEMA

One thing I love about Santiago's many cinemas are there, because they have variation in prices, movies and one can choose the one you like to go.

My favorite movie is the Hoyts de la Reina, this is located on Av. Ossa 655 commune of La Reina. To reach this place you can take the underground line 4 and get off at Simon Bolivar, then walk one block south direction and there will be all over a corner.

In this film unlike others not only can you watch movies, then you can celebrate your birthday, you can eat pizza because there's a restaurant next to rich pizza stone, you can enjoy different variety of food such as tacos, ice creams, kids, drinks, you can buy chocolates are very delicious grams and crafts.

Also held various cultural events either Chilean film, plays, exhibitions and radio programs, were interviewed a public figure involved with art and you can sit there quietly listening to the program. Also most of the premier van Chilean and foreign films are in this film.

I recommend this place because I love going to movies, and this place is very magical to do this, they always surprise you get when just going to go to a movie and otherwise are always all the movies you want to see and a variety of Unlike times smaller cinemas that do not have all the movies and do not always have good times. This film also has late night hours that makes you go at any time to enjoy a good movie.
